Monsieur Minimal Bio
Monsieur Minimal is musician and producer based in Greece- Athens. His musical style could come from any era while he combines the echoes of spring with analog synths and dreamy slices of the 60s and 70s nostalgia making simple and yet addictive sophisticated pop melodies. Since 2008 he released seven albums in total and has earned notable music recognition in Greece and abroad followed by numerous live performances and participation in music collections U.S.A, Switzerland, Turkey, France, Russia, Germany, Poland), soundtracks for TV spots , movies and ads in U.S.A and Canada, collaborations with notable Greek and foreign artists (as the opening act in Moby’s concert in Greece in 2011) and a great presence in radio and television playlist taking the title of the indie-pop aesthete in Greece.
In 2008 Monsieur Minimal released his debut album Lollipop Achieving massive success in Greece and abroad, particularly with the timeless and now classic single Love Story.
In 2010 released Pasta Flora album. The first album with Greek lyrics, featuring the title track which became one of the artist’s classic hits.
In 2012 released Minimal to Maximal album. A double and distinctive album that blends many musical styles, revealing a darker side that had not surfaced until then. Standout tracks include Bitter, Party, Last Song, Candy Face, and Infinity.
In 2015 released High Times album. An electro indie-pop-rock album, and perhaps the artist’s most European-sounding record. The standout track is Summer Lovers, along with the dark and distinctive Gadadelic.
In 2017 released Erotica (in Greek). Οne of his best-selling albums ever. A Mediterranean and sunny collection of songs in Greek, characterized by the vintage sound of the '70s. Standout tracks include Agalia, Stigmi and Ici.
In 2020 released the Easteria album (derived from the words "East" and "Hysteria"), which explores new genres such as blues, neo-soul, folk, and modern psychedelic music, all filtered through his unique Pop Aesthete lens. Songs like "Release Me," "Tonight," White and Black Angel and "Easteria" gained traction and received international recognition.
In 2024 released his latest album Seven (From East to West). An album that bridges the sounds of the East and the West, influenced by new musical genres such as soul, funk, and disco, all filtered through the artist’s indie pop perspective. The standout tracks so far are Desert in Your Eyes, Last Dance as well as the new arrangement of the classic Love Story, now reimagined under the title Love and Hate Story.
